Hence the term "DINER" ! a bit of history on "DINER'S": They originated on the East coast, and were commonly an "open kitchen restaurant" built inside a train box-car, or sometimes a trolly car! Many of these still exist, and in New York "DINERS" are some of the most popular eating establishments!
